If you are interested in the Suunto X10 Watch you will not be let down. I have had mine for a while now and absolutely love it! I have tried several other makes and models in the past, but this one by far is superior and I will never go back. The Suunto X10 Watch offers a lot of great features and is mid-priced, so while you may find some that are cheaper, you probably won’t find one that offers this many features for the price.
One of the great things about the Suunto X10 Watch is that you can get it wet. Even if you do not plan to get your watch wet it is great to have one that will not stop working because it does. You never know when you are going to be out hiking or climbing and the weather take a turn for the worst. Another nice feature with the Suunto X10 Watch is that this model was designed to have a longer battery life. In fact, they say that it lasts over 33 percent longer, which is great. The battery should comfortably last up to 7 hours if you are heavily using the GPS or up to a few months if you are using the other features moderately. The Suunto X10 Watch is also lightweight and not a bit bulky. The materials the Suunto X10 Watch are made with are of high quality and all feel nice, not stiff and uncomfortable like some watches.
Other features on the Suunto X10 Watch include:
- Altitude – the Suunto X10 Watch can use the current barometric pressure to calculate the altitude.
- Alarm – the Suunto X10 Watch alarm can be used for time, weather, and altitude.
- Barometer – the Suunto X10 Watch shows you the barometric pressure in graphics.
- Compass – with this Suunto watch the compass works without the GPS having to be on, which can be handy in saving battery life.
- Navigation – Suunto has provided software that you can put on your PC. You can use this to help route, estimate miles, etc. It can then display the info, waypoints, and route information. You can also set up to 50 waypoints with the Suunto X10 Watch, and have alarms at each of them.
The pros of the Suunto X10 Watch are plenty. It is of high quality and loaded with great features. Whether you plan to use this for hiking, hunting, or skiing, you will not be disappointed.
Suunto X-10 Review

The Suunto X10 military and the X10 are both fantastic watches for the outdoor enthusiast. Neither Suunto watch is oversized and both are light weight and have features including a barometer, altimeter, compass and GPS navigation. They are attractive watches, right down to the box that it comes in! Most of all however, they are very functional and offer features that many watches don’t have, or have the quality of the features. Suunto watches has been supplying the industry with outdoor equipment for over a decade.
The Suunto X10 military and X10 are advanced GPS navigational units that allow you to track with your hands free. The altimeter is particularly handy for outdoor excursions with accuracy of 30,000 feet up. This is great for geocaching, letting you know your exact position or location on a topographic map- which can be a lifesaver. This Suunto watch also features a Barometer, which is quite handy. It will record the outside air pressure by measuring it. If the outside air pressure is low, and suddenly it begins to rise, you likely need to find a place to retreat to for a while in order to ensure your safety. Or, if you are close enough to your car, get back to it. Features such as this, can literally save one’s life.
Other Features that the Suunto X10 military watch has are:
- The lifespan of the battery is good.
- The watches are water resistant to 100 feet deep.
- The warranty of the watches is two years.
- This Suunto watch has an LED light display.
- The watches include three alarms daily.
- The watches record sea level pressure
- The watches are designed with Suunto’s software.
- The watches have logbook function.
- The watches have a clock calendar.
- The watches have a stopwatch feature.
If you enjoy mountaineering, skiing, hiking, fishing, boating or just the great outdoors, these are excellent watches to have on the trail or water and keep your whereabouts. Definitely consider this as one of you tools for your excursions. The instruments are accurate and they more then come in handy. This is a Suunto watch I enjoy having on my wrist. It is a looker. And, it is functional. The watch is definitely great for any outdoor enthusiast. I highly recommend the Suunto GPS watch for any outdoor enthusiast.
Suunto X-Lander Review

It has probably been around two years now since I purchased my Suunto X-Lander Watch. I must say, I love everything about it, including the name. There is just something about saying “Suunto X-Lander” that reminds me of a Vin Diesel movie. The name sounds that good. And they have certainly backed it up with great features, a nice look and design, and an overall quality product.
Having used my Suunto X-Lander for a variety of things, from fishing trips to hiking to rugged camping trips, I can say with complete confidence that it is accurate and reliable. This computer watch is has everything you need in an altimeter and is perfect if you are an outdoor enthusiast such as myself. A great feature on the Suunto X-Lander is that it includes an altimeter that goes up to 29,500 feet and offers 24-hour memory. There is also a barometer that has a four-day barometric memory, as well as a compass, chronograph, logbook function, and a stop watch. Plus, the Suunto X-Lander is water resistant for up to 100 feet. When I was first deciding on which altimeter to purchase I was a little leery of the accuracy and quality among watches like these. Because of this, I choose one with a long warranty, which would give me a while to use it and see how I liked it. The Suunto X-Lander comes with a two year warranty, which is plenty of time to try it in a variety of settings and see if it works the way you expect and need it to. Another feature that I really liked about the Suunto X-Lander is that it is light.
While it looks like a big watch, it only weighs around 2.5 ounces, so it is lightweight, yet durable. In addition to the all the extra features, the X-Lander provides the standard ones, such as time, date and a calendar that goes to the year 2089. Overall, you can’t go wrong with the Suunto X-Lander. It is a good quality altimeter computer watch that has a lot of useful features and a reasonable price. The Suunto X-Lander is an ideal choice for anyone into climbing, skiing, backpacking, or other outdoor adventures, because it will give you the tools you need. While I have been using my Suunto X-Lander for the last couple of years, I know that I will be getting many more years out of it as well. It is such a durable piece that I will be able to count on it for years to come.
